The case, submitted in a Washington, D.C., court on Wednesday on behalf of American people, alleges the espresso giant is deceptive the general public by widely advertising its “100% moral” sourcing motivation on its coffee and tea products, when it knowingly sources from suppliers with “documented, intense human rights and labor abuses.”
